A stumbled-upon mural; just when you think you might know this place a bit.

How do you combine Dylan Thomas and the old Mumbles Railway?  Try a mural with an elegiac mood.  It seems every city has an aching nostalgia for something lost (task, start list: London, Euston Arch; Stockholm, Sergelstorg …?).   The historic Mumbles Railway closed 53 years ago but its image persists as a symbol of the City.

    • I only saw for the first time last week myself, but it is quite hidden. I don’t know who painted it but you see murals (it’s surely not just graffiti!) with the same style around the city. I agree that it would be a shame for it to be lost, may it should be treated as a Banksy! lol.
